Alegria's background is as diverse and colorful as her jewelry. Fluent in four languages, she was born in Tetuan (Spanish Morocco) and later moved to Israel where she owned and managed a shoe salon. At the same time, Alegria and her sister also had a thriving crochet business for which they created beautiful hats, bathing suits, and scarves - in high demand in the 70's.

Alegria migrated to the United States and dabbled in different artistic endeavors, but her main focus at the time was raising her family. Her creativity never at rest, she used her talent for crochet and design to create uniquely stunning, one of a kind pieces of jewelry. In each piece she intermingles silver or gold thread with semi-precious stones and pearls to fashion distinct pieces which delight both the wearer and the viewer alike.
