Carolyn Beavers was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She showed a passion for art at an early age and chose to express her talents on canvas and with hand-crafted jewelry, semi-precious stones and zircons. She has also produced notable sculptures in addition to her paintings and jewelry.

Carolyn has studied art at various locations in Ohio and Florida. She has attended the Columbus College of Art and Design, Otterbein College and the St. Petersburg Cultural Arts Center in St. Petersburg, Florida just to name a few. Her work has been shown in several galleries in Columbus, Ohio and St. Petersburg, Florida. She has been influenced by her mentor and friend, Ruth Markus, who provided tutelage in metal-smithing and enameling. Carolyn also studied metal-smithing and enameling with Juanita Hill at the Columbus Cultural Arts Center.
