Kim Thanasiu is a self taught artist and has exhibited widely in the mid-west and has won numerous awards. He paints not only on the canvas, but also on diverse surfaces as old albums, doors, or the wall itself. He blends his child-hood memories with American icons from Alfred E. Newman to G.I. Joe. His work creates a tapestry of color, form, thoughts, and personal beliefs.
